Who Should Attend

ABOUT THE ORGANISER

The Research Centre for Crystalline Materials was established to be a focus for cutting edge research in chemical crystallography under the leadership of Distinguished Professor Edward RT Tiekink. Our research focus revolves around the determination of molecular structure by X-ray crystallographic methods, to understand how molecules assemble in the crystalline state and to develop novel metal-based therapeutics agents (anticancer, antimicrobial, antiviral, etc.). We are well-equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation such as variable-temperature single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction; variable-temperature solution and solid-state NMR, IR and UV/Vis spectroscopy; CHN analysis; as well as thermal methods (DSC & STA) amongst others.
